Dedicated to community and seeing the best in us: Phoebe VanScoy-Giessler for District 6

To the Editor:

I am writing to express my enthusiastic support for Phoebe VanScoy-Giessler, who is running for Carroll County District 6 in the New Hampshire State House.

I met Phoebe over two decades ago when she became a co-worker and friend to my daughter at Tuftonboro Central School. Over the last 25 years, she and her family have created deep roots and a lasting positive impact on our community.

Great legislators are defined by more than just policy knowledge; the most effective are those who balance firm conviction with an open mind, empathize with their constituents, and possess a genuine desire to serve. Phoebe embodies these traits and her background as an educator and nonprofit leader equips her with a unique perspective on our community's needs and the challenges we face. Whether through her professional work or her time as a performer and producer at the Village Players, she has proven herself to be a dedicated listener, a collaborator, and a creative problem solver. Combined these strengths with a lifelong passion for politics, and it's clear these qualities make her a natural fit for public service.

Phoebe is also known for her vivacious spirit and quick wit, but more importantly, for her unwavering positivity. She consistently looks for the best in people and believes in our collective ability to improve any situation. These traits, combined with her dedication to public service, make her an exceptional candidate.

We know Phoebe will work with other legislators to prevent the Free State agenda and Project 2025 from becoming law in New Hampshire. Her commitment to strong public education, a sensible property tax structure, and affordable housing solutions align perfectly with my values.

True leadership in the State House requires diplomatic skill, a collaborative spirit, and a tireless

commitment to the public good. We need proactive, community-minded leadership and I believe Phoebe VanScoy-Giessler is the right candidate. I urge my fellow residents of Wolfeboro and Tuftonboro to join me

in voting for her on Nov. 3!

VanScoy-Giessler will bring a thoughtful voice to Concord

To the Editor:

Phoebe VanScoy-Giessler knows our community because she has been part of it for more than 20 years.

Phoebe is warm, caring, funny—and a problem solver. She has taught and substituted in our schools, and when the schools needed help, she even stepped into a janitorial role and a food service role. Why? Because there was a job that needed doing, and Phoebe was willing to do it.

You've probably seen her on stage in a Village Players production. Today, she works in marketing and development for the Barnstormers Theatre.

Phoebe knows us. More importantly, she will listen to us. She understands how important strong public schools are to our children, teachers, and communities. She sees the affordability crisis affecting families throughout our area. And she knows that solving problems requires people willing to listen, collaborate, and work across the aisle.

Phoebe will bring a thoughtful, balanced, community-centered voice to Concord.

Let's send someone who knows our community—and truly cares about it—to the State House.

Please vote for Phoebe VanScoy-Giessler for State Representative in District 6.
